Montrose saw their three-match unbeaten run brought to an end at home to Clyde.
Montrose, who face a play-off against either Brora Rangers or Edinburgh City to preserve their league status, missed a handful of chances in the first half and were made to pay when Clyde snatched the only goal of the game.
Links Park boss Paul Hegarty said: “We started a bit slowly, but once we got up to speed we had a few chances.
“We wanted to keep our run going but it was not to be. We need to bounce back against Annan next week and more importantly in the two legs of the play-off.”
Montrose were first to threaten and on 11 minutes, Ross McCord burst into the box and shot over.
On 20 minutes, Wood exchanged passes with Allan and shot wide with only the keeper to beat.
Four minutes later, Campbell’s close-range header from a McCord cross somehow bounced up and over the crossbar.
Having ridden their luck, Clyde snatched the lead on 52 minutes. They broke on the left and a clever flick from Steven McDougall set up David Marsh to find the net.
Clyde could have added to their tally on 74 minutes but home keeper Stuart McKenzie made a fine save from Scott McManus, then a minute from time he somehow kept out a point blank header from the same player.
The first leg of the Edinburgh versus Brora clash ended in a 1-1 draw.
