A mouth-watering Dundee derby at Tannadice which could help decide the coveted Europa League spots – will bring the Scottish Premiership season to a close, it has emerged.
The post-split fixtures have finally been released by the SPFL, almost a day late, after agreement between league bosses, broadcasters and police.
But many would suggest that they were perhaps worth the wait, with some big games ahead between April 24 and the final day of the season on Sunday, May 24.
The post-split fixtures open with a Tayside derby between Dundee and St Johnstone at Dens Park on Saturday, April 25, with Dundee United at home to Celtic the following lunchtime.
Dundee travel to play Celtic on Friday, May 1, while Dundee United host Aberdeen and St Johnstone host Inverness on Saturday, May 2.
The following weekend sees another Tayside derby, this time between St Johnstone and Dundee United on Saturday, May 9, with Dundee at home to Inverness the same afternoon.
St Johnstone are then at home to Celtic on Friday, May 15, with Dundee playing Aberdeen and Inverness taking on Dundee United the following day.
That all builds up to the final weekend of the season and that final Dundee derby of the season at 12.30pm on Sunday, May 24, with St Johnstone facing a trip to Aberdeen at the same time.
Meanwhile, there is still no news of Dundee United’s outstanding league match with Inverness, which was due to be played before the split.
