East Fife boss believes squad has taken them to the top

East Fife player-manager Gary Naysmith reckons it is a squad effort that has taken his side to the top of League 2.
He said: “I am fortunate as I believe that when I make changes I am not weakening the team. Other managers say that but don’t necessarily believe it, whereas I do.
“Pat Slattery has been great for us but I put him on the bench at Hampden last Saturday as I thought his fitness would help us in the second half.
“Kevin Smith is the captain and he was the first player substituted. We have Craig Murray, who was in Aberdeen’s first team last season, missing for a few games as he was not doing great at the start of the season.”
He added: “Allan Walker is our most experienced player and he has had to be patient after missing a couple of games through suspension. It is a squad game and the players accept that.”
