Brechin defender Jonathan Tiffoney frozen out again

The weather may have improved since last weekend’s Arctic blast but Brechin’s Jonathan Tiffoney will continue to be out in the cold this Saturday.
The City defender was due to serve a one-match suspension last week when the Angus side played Stenhousemuir.
However, the game at Ochilview was abandoned at half-time because of heavy snow falling on the artificial surface obscuring the lines.
Brechin boss Darren Dods felt it was the correct call by referee Steven Kirkland however because the game was abandoned, Tiffoney still has to serve his one-game ban meaning the manager will be deprived of his services against Airdrie this weekend.
The Glebe gaffer said: “It was clearly the right decision to call the match off at half-time.
“However, it means that Jonathan is still suspended as the game doesn’t count.
“It is a tough one to take but we will just have to get on with it.”
