Brechin City loan signing from Dundee United to make debut

Brechin City loan signing Jassem Sukar is set to make his debut at Glebe Park this afternoon.
Player/manager Darren Dods expects to be out of action for at least a fortnight, giving the Dundee United youngster a chance to make an instant impact against Stenhousemuir.
Dods said: “I felt my thigh in the warm-up at East End Park but I hoped it would be OK. I knew after the first few minutes that it wouldn’t, so I took myself off.
“I was a quick healer in my 20s but I’m not so sure now I’m in my 40s!
“I’ve been told it will be a couple of weeks.
“We’ve brought Jassem in on loan and he’s likely to start.”
Dods does not believe his side’s momentum will be disrupted by the defeat to title winners Dunfermline.
He said: “We were in the game right up until the end and had a goal disallowed which would have made it 2-2.
“Three of our last five games are at home and we’re looking to take advantage of that.
“I’m sure there will be plenty of twists and turns before the end of the season.”
Darren McCormack is rated 50-50 and Willie Dyer is suspended, but Lewis Spence is available again.
