Forfar boss doesn’t want to let more points slip away
ByThe Courier Reporter
Forfar manager Gary Bollan has seen two chances to pick up maximum points slip past in the Loons’ last two games and wants to make up for it against Ayr United at Station Park today.
Bollan said: “We played well against Airdrie and then Cowdenbeath and deserved to win both games. Wins would have moved us up the table however we have picked up just two points and not six.
“Whilst it is great that our performance levels have improved and those higher standards are being hit more consistently we know that results are more important than performances at this stage of the season.”
Bollan added: “We have to start putting more points on board and hopefully that will happen against Ayr.
“They will be dangerous opponents. They have fallen quite a bit behind Dunfermline in the chase for the title but Ian McCall will not be letting things peter out and will want to beat Peterhead into second place. He will also want them to be in good form for the play-offs so we will have to play well to win.”
Martyn Fotheringham returns from a ban and Michael Travis misses out with a knee injury, with Michael Dunlop and Iain Campbell both struggling with knocks.
