Raith Rovers boss Grant Murray expects close contest

Only six points separate the Championship’s top five sides heading into the last round of 2013 fixtures, and Raith boss Grant Murray would not be surprised to see it stay as competitive right up until May.
“With play-offs coming in, you look at where the likes of Alloa are sitting and it’s fantastic,” he said.
“It’s difficult to say whether it will stay like that until end of season, but there are teams in the league capable of going on a run.
“But I don’t see why it would not be close from now until the end of the season. I would love it if it was us to go on a run.”
With a home game against leaders Dundee lying in wait on January 2, Murray takes his side into this weekend’s game away to Livingston looking on the bright side of their derby draw with Cowdenbeath.
He added: “We’ve scored three goals and we’ve only lost at home to Hamilton this season in the league, so we’ve got to try and continue that and make it difficult for teams to come here.
“It felt like a defeat but we just have to get the heads up and move on to next week.”
