Dunfermline will again be without Lewis Martin and Ryan Wallace this weekend as they aim to keep their play-off bid on track at home to Morton.
Defender Martin is away with the Scotland Under 19 squad in Austria, while forward Wallace is unlikely to play again this season as he recovers from a setback related to his previous pelvic injury.
Apart from those two though, Pars boss John Potter has a fully fit squad at his disposal and says he is preparing to pick a team capable of securing three points at the visitors’ expense.
Potter conceded last week that there is no room for error in the run-in, and last week’s 1-0 win at Stenhousemuir keeps them firmly in the hunt for fourth spot.
“As I have said before we have to win our games to make a difference,” he stressed.
“We have now the top six teams to play in the next six games, and these teams are either round about us or above us.
“With that result against Stenhousemuir we have given ourselves an opportunity to try and get in the play-offs.
“But we have to go again and work hard against Morton on Saturday.”
A draw last weekend could have dealt a near fatal blow to Dunfermline’s play-off hopes, although Potter was delighted to see his team grind out an important away victory after goalkeeper Ryan Scully’s late penalty save kept them ahead.
“Ryan is good at penalties and so you always have hope when there is a penalty against him,” he said.
“But the whole defence managed to see it out and we have maybe not done that too many times this season.
“We had a good defensive record at the start of the season but that had gone in the last month or two, so I was glad to see the game out.”
Brechin currently sit in fourth spot in League One and managed to extend their advantage over the Pars to four points with a last-gasp draw at home to Peterhead in midweek.
However, there is still plenty to play for in the final six games of the season, with the Pars facing fellow promotion challengers Morton, Peterhead, Stranraer, Brechin, Forfar and Airdrieonians in that order as the season draws to a climax.
