Away ties for Tayside teams in League Cup quarter-final draw

The quarter-final line-up for the League Cup has been confirmed with the draw taking place at Hampden this afternoon.

Dundee United will travel to Easter Road to face Championship side Hibs in a replay of last season’s quarter-final tie which the Tangerines won after extra-time and a penalty shoot-out.

St Johnstone are also on their travels to Morton where they won in the same competition two years ago thanks to a Gary McDonald last-gasp winner.

Current holders Celtic face a tricky trip to Hearts while Inverness will entertain Ross County in the Highland derby.

Ties are due to be played on October 27/28.
