East Fife manager Gary Naysmith has told his players to enjoy their game against Berwick Rangers today as there is little pressure on them despite a play-off place being in their grasp.
Naysmith explained: “Our players have been terrific since the turn of the year where they have delivered to a very high level apart from two or maybe three games.
“They have worked hard to get us into a position where promotion could be talked about and now they should go out and look to have their hard work rewarded with a play-off place.
“However there is no pressure on them to do so. There was far more pressure on them last season when we were trying to avoid relegation, that is real pressure, but just now is a time to be enjoyed.”
A win over the Borderers would be enough for a play-off berth to be booked if Elgin and Annan draw in the Highlands, however Naysmith is not getting bogged down in too much detail.
He explained: “I have done all the permutations in my head but in the end you just end up going round in circles. All we need to do is to take care of ourselves in our last two games and we will be fine.”
Naysmith, who will miss out due to a calf injury, will be able to call on the fit again trio of Liam Smith, Stevie Campbell and Allan Walker.
