East Fife manager Gary Naysmith has a simple gameplan for their play-off with Clyde ahead of the first leg at Broadwood tonight win both games.
Naysmith said: “We will be going to Clyde looking for the win. I am not interested in keeping things tight and bringing them back to our place with the chance of going for it. I want us to go out and win both games.
“We are a side that can create chances and if we show a clinical side we can win both legs.”
The former Scotland international is backing his men to do the job despite being disappointed with them against Ayr United at Somerset Park.
He said: “For the first 40 minutes, we were the better team and even their manager Mark Roberts agreed with that. However, we didn’t score when we were on top, lost a goal and found ourselves behind rather than being in front.”
“When we lost a second, we were poor and the players know that. However, they have the chance to make up for it in the play-offs.”
Naysmith and his team are not going in blind.
He said: “I have seen Clyde in action this season so I know a decent amount about them.
“They have players who can hurt you on either wing so we have to be ready for that. However, it is what we do that matters and, if we score when we are on top, we will do well.”
Kevin Rutkiewicz and Gary Fisher remain out with knocks and the game comes too soon for Ross Brown.
Clyde boss Jim Duffy said: “I had someone watching East Fife and I’m sure that everyone at Bayview will have been disappointed at how that game went, especially in the second half.
“However, I have not read too much into that performance as this game will be very different as East Fife will have wiped the slate clean.
“They will see this as an opportunity to save themselves so we have a real battle on our hands.”
Duffy will be without Stuart McColm, Iain Gray Neil Janczyk, David Marsh and Stef McCluskey.
