Former Dundee United midfielder Ryan Gauld has returned to the Scotland under-21 squad for the matches against France and Northern Ireland later this month.
Boss Ricky Sbragia has named a 22-player pool for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifiers against the French away on March 24 and Northern Ireland in Paisley on the 29th.
Sporting Club of Portugal playmaker Gauld has returned following a two-match suspension which saw him miss Scotland’s draws with Iceland and Ukraine last year.
There is also a spot for ex-United man John Souttar, now at Hearts, while there are first call-ups for Aberdeen’s Craig Storie and Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s Liam Polworth.
