Cowdenbeath have revealed that Dunfermline have now paid the four-figure sum which they owed their Fife neighbours when they went into administration earlier this year.
They were due a total of £4,121 from ticket sales and Central Park chief executive Alex Anderson was “delighted” to announce that the debt had now been cleared.
He said that Pars fans had given £1,200 towards the outstanding figure and Cowdenbeath had now returned that sum to the East End Park club.
Mr Anderson said: “We are delighted that Dunfermline have honoured their football debt and we have immediately returned the money which was donated by Dunfermline supporters last season.”
