St Johnstone reject two bids from Rangers for Michael O’Halloran

St Johnstone are battling to hold on to star man Michael O’Halloran after rejecting two bids from Rangers.

The Ibrox club were yesterday told their first offer, which was believed to be in the region of £150,000, wasn’t enough to persuade Saints to sell.

However, their determination to land the Perth club’s frontman became clear when another, slightly improved, bid came in for O’Halloran just hours later.

That second offer was also rejected but St Johnstone fans should be concerned that the Light Blues appear to be so keen to get him.

Indeed, Rangers boss Mark Warburton has made O’Halloran and Brentford’s Toumani Diagouraga his top targets for the January transfer window.

Glasgow-born O’Halloran, who turned 25 last week, has been outstanding for Saints since joining in January 2014 and was named the Ladbrokes Premiership player of the month for last November.
