Now that Arbroath have all but secured their League Two status for next season, the process of building for a promotion push in 12 months’ time is already underway.
“I’m looking forward to challenging next season,” manager Dick Campbell said.
“I’m trying to work on who will be here and who will be going.”
Campbell, whose side host league leaders East Fife this afternoon, had complimentary words for his predecessor Todd Lumsden.
“When a new manager takes over a lot of the time you hear them say ‘the team’s not fit enough’ and things like that,” he said.
“But there’s no doubt that this team is fit, and Todd has to be commended.
“There’s a naivety which has been shown up in the two games we’ve lost.
“But three wins in five is pretty good.
“The boys are working hard, and that’s what one of my teams looks like.”
There will be no feet being taken off pedals, Campbell insisted.
He said: “This is a massive game. We’re not here to put on a party for East Fife. We want to finish the season strongly.”
Mark Williams is likely to miss out but Craig Johnstone should be available.
