Reece Donaldson hopes loan spell will help secure Ramsdens Cup Final place

Raith Rovers defender Reece Donaldson is hoping that his loan spell at Peterhead will help him secure a place in the Kirkcaldy side’s Ramsdens Cup Final squad against Rangers next April.
Donaldson moved to the Blue Toon a fortnight ago after falling down the pecking order at Stark’s Park.
After a man of the match display against East Stirling on his debut and playing his part in a 5-0 win at Hampden over Queen’s Park last weekend, Donaldson is delighted to be getting games until January.
The 19-year-old said: “The plan was for me to go to Peterhead and get game time and then challenge for a first team place at Raith when I go back.
“Getting matches somewhere else is helping me and Raith Rovers. Having been at Raith since I was in their under-14 side and working my way up to the first team I am determined to get back into manager Grant Murray’s thoughts.”
“My plan is to be back there fighting for a place to face Rangers.”
