Brechin City manager Darren Dods wants to see his players make home advantage count over the next seven days and set up an Angus relegation decider.
Player/manager Dods set a target a few months ago to make sure they had something to play for at Station Park on the last day of the season.
It’s still a strong possibility, with Gary Bollan’s Forfar side only a point above them, but slipping up in back-to-back home games could cost them that chance.
Peterhead are the visitors today, with Stranraer making the long journey north next weekend.
Dods said: “Our fans have stuck by us. One game that stands out was Albion Rovers when they helped us get two late goals.
“We definitely want to take advantage of being at home in our next two weeks and the supporters can play their part.
“I said a while ago that we wanted to keep it competitive all the way to the last game and we can still do that.
“It was disappointing to lose at Cowdenbeath last week because I thought we were the better team.
“Our form has been good for a while though, even the two games we’ve lost.
“We’ve won five out of our last seven and we’ll give it a real go again this weekend. If we win, you never know, other results might go our way as well.”
Dods has a chance of playing today, while fellow defender Jassem Suker is rated 50-50.
