East Fife boss Gary Naysmith has been named SPFL League Two Manager of the Month for reigniting their promotion charge.
It is the former Hearts and Everton defender’s second managerial gong since he took charge of the New Bayview club in October 2013.
Fourth-placed East Fife went undefeated during February, winning four out of five games and scoring 11 goals in the process.
Naysmith meanwhile is keeping his fingers crossed that former Real Sociedad defender Julen Etxabeguren is not facing a spell on the sidelines.
The 23-year-old, who was part of the Spanish side’s Champions League squad last season, has picked up an ankle injury
Naysmith said: “We are not sure of the full extent of the problem so Julen is going for a scan. He has been great for us since he came in and hopefully he will not be facing a spell out of the team.”
