Former Dundee United cup hero David Robertson has joined in the Kenny Shiels revolution at Championship club Morton.
Robertson, released last month by St Johnstone, has joined three others, Garry O’Connor, Darren Cole and Jamie McCormack, in helping the Greenock club’s fight against relegation.
Robertson was the man who fired a later winner against Rangers in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup in 2010, which United went on to win.
For former Scotland striker O’Connor it is the chance to resurrect his career.
The 30-year-old has been without a club for a year after leaving Russian club Tom and spent a spell on trial with Bury in November.
The former Birmingham and Lokomotiv Moscow striker was convicted of possession of cocaine after leaving Hibernian for a second time after their 5-1 William Hill Scottish Cup final defeat by Hearts in May 2012.
