Willie Aitchison resigns as East Fife manager

East Fife are on the lookout for a new manager following the resignation of Willie Aitchison.

The Fifers’ board issued a statement thanking him for his service to the Methil club.

Aitchison only took over from Billy Brown in the summer but has called time on his tenure following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Forfar.

The club statement read: “The board of East Fife Football Club have this morning accepted the resignation of our manager Willie Aitchison.

“The board would like to personally thank Willie for his hard work and endeavour.

“We wish Willie all the very best for the future.”
