Junior giant-killers Linlithgow claimed a place in the last-16 of the Scottish Cup as they dumped out League One Forfar.
The Rosey Posey deserved their trip to Ross County after taking the Loons to extra time last night.
It was an evenly-contested and, at times, exciting tie but it took a composed finish from Kevin Kelbie deep into injury time to separate the sides.
It was the third time of asking to split the teams. Last week’s replay, after the original tie was drawn 3-3, was abandoned due to floodlight failure but there were no problems for the 1,168 crowd this time
Forfar almost had a dream start, when only the woodwork prevented them going ahead after two minutes.
Gavin Swankie won a corner and Ian Campbell swung a ball over to the far post where Michael Dunlop hit a first- time volley off the foot of the post.
Scott Martin and Omar Kader combined well for Forfar, with the latter hitting the byeline and flashing a cross over the face of goal but there were no takers in a blue shirt.
Andy Shirra should have done better for the visitors when he picked up in the box but hammered his shot high over.
Swankie was just as guilty of a poor miss when he sclaffed a great shooting chance wide from 16 yards.
The start of the second half saw Rose go close, Kelbie forcing Darren Hill into a vital block from a close-range pile-driver.
Hill was well beaten in the 58th minute, though, when Kelbie turned and thundered in a fierce shot from 20 yards but this time the post rescued Forfar as the ball cannoned back.
Chances were falling to both sides and Rose keeper Ally Adams was next to be called into action, brilliantly tipping a rocket from Bryan Hodge over his bar.
In the final minute, Martin headed a looping ball on top of the Rose crossbar but Adams watched it closely all the way.
Into extra time, Forfar carved out the first chances. Denholm chipped in under the bar but Adams palmed away then sub Craig Smith saw his shot blocked by the keeper.
The second period saw Campbell curl in a good free-kick and Adams had to dive to punch the ball away.
Kelbie went on a mazy run and almost carved his way through. But from the corner Forfar broke and Kader forced Adams to tip his long-range shot behind.
With six minutes to go, the travelling support were in raptures as Kelbie fired them into dreamland.
A long ball wasn’t dealt with and Kelbie pounced on Baxter’s half-clearance to calmly slot the ball past Hill.
Kelbie’s celebrations were justifiably over the top as the entire Linlithgow side rushed to join him in front of manager Davie McGlynn’s dugout. The final whistle seemed an age but Forfar didn’t threaten to spoil the party for the Rose.
