Brechin want to drag Cowdenbeath into relegation scrap By Eric Nicolson February 13 2016, 10:00am February 13 2016, 10:00am Share Brechin want to drag Cowdenbeath into relegation scrap Share via Facebook Twitter Linkedin Whatsapp Messenger Email Post link https://www.thecourier.co.uk/sport/football/267989/brechin-want-to-drag-cowdenbeath-into-relegation-scrap/ Copy Link Brechin City have the perfect chance to drag Cowdenbeath into the relegation mix today. A win at Glebe Park will bring them within four points of the Fifers. But the flip side of the coin would be defeat and a 10-point gap. Manager Darren Dods is understandably keen that Forfar don’t become the only side they have a realistic chance of overhauling. “We definitely don’t want it to be just the two of us,” Dods admitted. “That would mean you’re relying on one other match going your way each week. “This is a real opportunity to close the gap on Cowdenbeath and drag them into it.” Dods added: “We’ve got a couple of home games coming up and we’re looking to take advantage of that. “Eight of our last 14 are at Glebe Park so home form is going to be crucial. “We know that we need to start picking up points.” Darren McCormack is still injured and Paul McLean is “50-50”, Dods said.
