East Fife to face Queen of the South in Alba Cup quarter-final

East Fife will face the long trip down to Dumfries for their Alba Cup quarter-final against Queen of the South.
The Fifers came out of the hat alongside the Doonhamers when the draw was made at Hampden on Thursday and they will go head to head on Sunday, September 5.
Forfar Athletic will host last season’s Scottish Cup finalist Ross County and boss Dick Campbell was pleased to be at home.
He said, “I would not have fancied a trip up there as we have a much better chance of progressing.”
The Loons and County both want to switch their tie to the previous day and confirmation of that is expected on Friday.
Partick Thistle will host Ayr United and Dundee’s conquerors Stenhousemuir will travel to Peterhead.
