St Johnstone look set to get a rare selection boost, with striker Kenny Deuchar poised to return against Hamilton Accies this weekend.
Saints continue their push for a top-six SPL finish at New Douglas Park on Saturday, following Tuesday’s 1-1 home draw against Falkirk.
Deuchar missed the visit of the Bairns to McDiarmid Park because of an ankle injury.
However, he is expected to recover in time to be considered by manager Derek McInnes to face Accies.
That is welcome news for McInnes, who still has Steven Milne, Peter MacDonald, Martin Hardie, Steven Anderson, Keven Rutkiewicz, Stuart McCaffrey and long-term absentee Kevin Moon on the casualty list.
“Kenny has a chance for the Hamilton game,” confirmed McInnes.
