Montrose manager George Shields hopes to complete a move for striker Scott Davidson this week after his cameo appearance at the weekend.
The Gable Endies boss hinted prior to Saturday’s game that he hoped to bolster his attacking line and so it proved as former Falkirk and Stirling forward Davidson appeared on the teamsheet as a trialist.
Davidson, most recently with Annan, could not prevent the Angus side from going down 4-3 at home to Albion Rovers, but Shields has seen enough to suggest the 23-year-old could do a job for his team between now and the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Montrose are also favourites to land East Fife’s Ewan Moyes after the defender was made available for loan or permanent transfer last week.
