Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara and his team are Berlin-bound this summer.
The Tangerines boss will base his squad in the German capital for training and they will also play games against Bundesliga 2 sides Union Berlin and Energie Cottbus.
The first fixture against Union will take place on Sunday July 7 at the Stadion An der Alten Forsterei in the city.
They will then travel 80 miles south-east of Berlin for the second friendly against Cottbus, which will be an evening kick-off the following Friday the 12th at their hosts’ Stadion der Freundschaft.
German football is on the rise at the moment with Bayern Munich having just won the Champions League at Wembley by beating compatriots Borussia Dortmund and the Bundesliga 2 teams are certain to provide the Tangerines with a couple of serious challenges.
United won’t be finished there, though, because once their working trip to eastern Germany has ended they will jet off to Spain for the second leg of their tour.
They will be based just north of Gibraltar at San Roque for another week, probably returning to Scotland around July 21.
Courier Sport understands they hope to play at least one match in Spain, although details have yet to be confirmed.
