Dundee clubs to meet in quarter-finals of Scottish Cup

Dundee and Dundee United will meet in the quarter-finals of the William Hill Scottish Cup.

Following excellent victories over the weekend United beat Rangers 3-0 on Saturday before Dundee demolished Morton 5-1 on Sunday the city clubs were paired in what will be the stand-out tie of the next round.

United have already recorded two 3-0 wins over Dundee in the league this season, but Barry Smith’s men will gain encouragement from their performance against Division One leaders Morton.

Ties are to be played on the weekend of March 2-3.
