Cowdenbeath will have home advantage in the second leg of the relegation/promotion play-off final if they make it through, after lots were drawn by Scottish Football League officials.

Chief executive David Longmuir and former SFL deputy secretary Jim Fitzpatrick determined the schedule for the two-legged final, with the team finishing higher or from a higher league already guaranteed a home second leg in the semi-final.

Cowden, who will finish second-bottom of the first division after they end their regular season at Ross County on Saturday, will have to wait to see who their opponents in the semi-final first leg on Wednesday, May 11, will be, with Brechin City still needing a point to see off the challenge of East Fife for fourth place in division two.

Ayr United and Forfar have already made the play-offs and will face each other in the other semi-final, but they can still switch league spots, with the Station Park side just a point behind the second-placed Honest Men going into the final day.

The second legs of the semi-finals will be played on May 14, with the final games taking place on the 18th and 22nd.
