Dundee United interim manager Peter Houston has been offered a permanent job at Tannadice by chairman Stephen Thompson.
Houston became a United legend after leading the Tangerines to Scottish Cup glory on Saturday.
The success was all the more remarkable as he took over as care-taker when Craig Levein became Scotland coach in December.
The deal has yet to be finalised but Houston and Thompson have both confirmed the offer of a long-term contract.Courier sports writer Ian Roache talks to Peter Houston in tomorrow’s Courier. Our edition of Monday, May 17, contained comprehensive coverage of Dundee United’s Scottish Cup victory over Ross County as well as a special supplement packed with photographs of the team’s victory parade and celebrations throughout the city.
