Former Dundee United striker Francisco Sandaza wants to continue his career in British football despite being released by Brighton and Hove Albion.
Sandaza (26) has returned to his Spanish homeland after helping Gus Poyet’s men win promotion to the Championship.
It was a short stay by the seaside, having just left United in January, but the frontman believes he still has a lot to offer now that he is free of the groin injury that dogged him at Tannadice.
“I loved my time in Britain and would like to come back,” said Sandaza. “I think I proved at Dundee United that I can score goals but then I got injured and couldn’t get back into the team properly.
“Things went OK at Brighton and I made a contribution to the team getting promoted. The team were doing so well it was difficult for the manager to change things and I need to play regularly.
“The SPL is a good league and, of course, I would be interested in speaking to clubs in Scotland. I loved everything about the country the football and the people.
“The main thing is the football and I just want to find a new club for next season. I am 26 now and think I am going to have the best years of my career.
“My injury is behind me I have been fit for a year and I just want to look forward now.”
