Dundee midfielder Stephen O’Donnell has lost his appeal against the red card he received against Ross County.
As a consequence, the former St Mirren man will now be banned for two matches.
The Dens Park club decided to appeal referee George Salmond’s ordering off of O’Donnell for a tackle on County’s Iain Vigurs at the weekend.
But the SFA appeals panel kicked out their protest on Thursday, so he will now miss the Boxing Day match with Morton.
Meanwhile, a series of Key Performance Indicators have been agreed by the club’s board of directors to facilitate open and transparent financial reporting to the supporters and public at large.
It was felt that the following would be good measures of prudent financial management: Percentage of player wages to turnover; 95% of trade creditors due, excluding player debt and administrator’s fees, paid within 30 days; Confirmation that projected cash flow shows a positive position at season end; Confirmation of no debt to HMRC, meaning all outstanding PAYE and NI liabilities and VAT liabilities are up to date; and Confirmation of no bank debt.
The board revealed that, as of October 31, the ratio of players’ wages to turnover was 48.9% and that all other KPIs were achieved.
The November figures will be published early in the New Year.
Recently appointed Supporters Society Financial Director John Knight said: ”The Society welcomes the publication of the club’s first set of Key Performance Indicators.
”These, together with the presence of all six of the club board at the society AGM where they all fielded questions from the members, and with the planned club shareholders’ question and answers in January or February, are healthy signs of the club delivering its promises on greater transparency to the fans.
”The rebuilding of our club’s standing within both local and football communities will be gradual, and these small but positive steps represent a new approach towards developing a more open and constructive future relationship with the fans.”
