Arbroath have appointed Stewart Petrie as their assistant manager.
Petrie (40) has just returned to Scotland from Australia where he was number two to Ian Ferguson at North Queensland Fury.
The former Dunfermline and Forfar midfielder had previously been player-coach at Ross County.
“Stewart came highly recommended from people within the game who’d alerted me to the fact he was returning to Scotland,” said player-boss Paul Sheerin.
“And after having a long chat with him I was comfortable that we could work well together.
“Stewart is keen to get going, and I’m delighted to have got the assistant manager issued sorted out.”
Arbroath are holding an open day at Gayfield on Saturday, July 17 (10am-noon) ahead of the friendly with Dundee (ko 2pm).
The Lichties have secured a shirt sponsorship deal with Prosperity Offshore Investment Consultants.
Lichties supporter Neil Grant, whose father played for the club in the 1950s, is executive director of the Dubai-based company.
