Fixture changes to mean more battles under Friday night lights for Dundee United
ByNews reporter
Dundee United fans will be without a home Saturday game for almost two months thanks to rescheduling.
The Tangerines enjoyed a healthy attendance of 9,858 when they met Aberdeen at Tannadice at the traditional date and time of 3pm last weekend.
However, they will not have another Saturday afternoon home clash until Inverness Caley Thistle visit on December 15.
Instead, they will get more Friday football.
The Tangerines will face Kilmarnock at Tannadice on Friday November 16, having already played Ross County on the experimental night-time slot this season.
The switch is to avoid a clash with Dundee’s home game against Hibs the following day.
Also, United’s home fixture against Motherwell, originally scheduled for Wednesday November 28 has been brought forward to Tuesday the 27th.
This has been done to avoid a clash with the Dark Blues, who meet Kilmarnock at Dens on the Wednesday.
United’s new dates are as follows: Friday Nov 16 – United v Kilmarnock; Tuesday Nov 27 – United v Motherwell.
