St Johnstone travel to Tynecastle on the opening day of the new league campaign to face a rejuvenated Hearts under Jim Jefferies.
The capital side now have a certain Kevin Kyle in their ranks €” a striker who has recently proved a particular “bogey man” for Saints.
The Hearts game is followed by a home match against Aberdeen, then champions Rangers (away), Motherwell (home) and St Mirren (home).
“Tynecastle was a happy hunting ground for us last season,” said St Johnstone assistant manager Tony Docherty.
“But this is a new season and Hearts are a side who have made a few signings, including Kevin Kyle.
“However, we will not let one player dominate our thoughts. Instead, we will look forward to a fantastic atmosphere at a packed Tynecastle.
“There is always a wee buzz of excitement when the new fixture list is announced and, although it looks like we have a tough start, it is good that we have three of the first five games at home.”
