DUNDEE v PETERHEAD (4-0)
DENS PARK - DUNDEE
Dundee's Simon Ferry celebrates his opening goal.
Dundee eased past Peterhead into the second round of the League Cup with a comfortable 4-0 win.
The Dark Blues made it a blue day for the Blue Toon by producing a stylish display of attacking football at Dens Park.
With eight new signings in their side and Gary Harkins running the show, the hosts were in control from first minute to last.
Simon Ferry got things moving on 20 minutes when he tapped in after a Luka Tankulic shot had been spilled by keeper Graeme Smith.
A fine finish from Greg Stewart made it 2-0 just before half-time then sub Peter MacDonald got in on the act by nodding home Tankulic’s cross on 78 minutes.
Tankulic got the goal his play deserved when he shot home four minutes later to round off a good afternoon for Paul Hartley’s team.
