Dundee boss Paul Hartley insists new keeper Arvid Schenk is loving life as part of Dens Park’s growing German colony.
Schenk’s arrival on Tayside recently made him the Dark Blues’ third German ace after defender Thomas Konrad and striker Luka Tankulic both signed in the summer.
The 6ft 5in star will provide cover for Scott Bain on a short-term basis with first-choice shot stopper Kyle Letheren out through a knee injury.
Schenk has had spells with German outfits St Pauli II, Wolfsburg II and Hansa Rostock before signing for Dundee.
And Hartley admits having his countrymen around him has helped him settle into his new surroundings.
He said: “Arvid has looked good since he came in. He has already played for the under-20s and kept a clean sheet, which was pleasing.
“He has fitted in pretty well. It has helped having the other two German lads here, which makes it easier.
“Bain has done well between the sticks but if we need to use Arvid then we know he could do a job for us.”
