Dundee’s Kyle Benedictus has been reunited with his former boss Barry Smith at Alloa after joining the Wasps on loan.
The big defender appeared 18 times last season as the Dark Blues won the Championship title but was told by Dens manager Paul Hartley this summer that he was free to find another club.
Now, he has joined Alloa until the end of the season.
Another player, goalie Grant Adam, has also left Dundee.
The 23-year-old was brought in as cover for Scott Bain following his appendix operation and kept two clean sheets in two appearances in the pre-season friendlies against Manchester City and Brechin City.
Hartley said: “Grant has been great with us. We’d like to thank him for his effort while at the club and wish him all the best.”
Meanwhile, one of the players released by Hartley at the end of last season, former Scotland and Celtic striker Craig Beattie, has joined League One pace-setters Ayr United.
