Dumbarton v Dundee: Dark Blues receive double squad boost
ByNeil Robertson
Dundee have received a big boost with the news Christian Nade and Kevin McBride have returned to the squad for Saturday’s crunch Championship clash at Dumbarton.
Influential midfielder McBride has recovered from the virus that saw him miss the last two games against Livingston and Raith Rovers, with striker Nade also absent for the disappointing draw against the Kirkcaldy side in midweek because of a thigh problem.
However, both could feature against the free-scoring Sons as Paul Hartley’s men look to consolidate their lead at the top of the table.
Hartley said: “Christian and Kevin are both OK now. That’s a boost for us because they’re important players.
“It’s an important game and it’s always good to have your big players fit.
“We didn’t play well against Raith, but it’s about moving on.
“This is another vital game and we have to show the right response against a good Dumbarton side.”
