Dundee boss Paul Hartley refused to let his players speak to the press in the aftermath of Saturday’s setback against Falkirk.
The Dark Blues lost out to a solitary goal from Bairns on-loan Carlisle striker Mark Beck, with the defeat meaning they have slipped to second in the Championship table.
The manager himself did talk to the media and was keen to praise his team’s efforts and performance, despite the result.
However, after Hartley had departed, a message was relayed through a third party that no players would be available for interview.
The Dark Blues of course now face a possible season-defining fixture against new league leaders Hamilton on Saturday.
The manager said: “I don’t think there was a lot wrong today in the way we went about our business. I thought we dominated the game and had good chances, especially in the first half.
“They got a goal with us switching off at a set-piece. But in terms of the players’ attitude and trying to win the game, I was pleased with that and the way we played.
“We have to regroup now for a massive game at Hamilton. It is a match we will go and try to win. We will take a fantastic support down there so it has the makings of a cracking game.”
Jim McAlister, who had to leave the field in the second half after suffering a head knock, will be fully assessed today to see whether he will be ready for the Hamilton game.
Meanwhile, Dundee keeper John Gibson has joined Elgin City on loan until the end of the season.
