Dundee boss Paul Hartley says maintaining discipline will be key for his players when they face Hamilton in Saturday’s table-topping clash.
The last time the sides met at Dens, Accies had two men sent off as the Dark Blues secured a vital victory. Now Hartley has demanded his players keep their cool in a game that means so much to both sides.
He said: “Everyone is building it up, but we’re not going to get too carried away with it. I’ve told the players just to keep their discipline.
“That will be a key thing. It’s three points which are on offer like any other game.”
Hamilton player-manager Alex Neil, who has been out with a groin problem since October, has now played a couple of times for the club’s U20s and has included himself in the squad.
When asked if the possible return of the influential midfielder had altered his thoughts for the match, Hartley said: “Not at all. Alex might come in and play because of his experience, but whatever team they put out is up to them.
“We’ll just try to concentrate on our team and what the best line-up is to attempt to win the game of football.”
Hartley will have close to a full squad to choose from with Jim McAlister, Gary Irvine and Kyle Benedictus all back training.
