Paul Hartley backs Dundee players to hold nerve in promotion battle
ByIan Roache
Dundee boss Paul Hartley is confident his players have the determination and desire to win the promotion battle.
The Dark Blues host Cowdenbeath at Dens on Saturday, while Championship title rivals Hamilton have an arguably tougher fixture away to Livingston.
It is nip and tuck at the top of the table, with Accies only leading the way on goals scored.
There is no room for error or complacency and it will be tense from now until the final day of the season but Hartley is backing his boys to hold their nerve.
He said: “There are 12 points to play for in the four games we have left and that’s what we are aiming to get.
“The players know what is required of them in every one of those matches. I shouldn’t need to motivate them. They know what is at stake and how to go about the job.
“They showed good desire and determination in our last game against Hamilton and I expect we will see those things from them from now until the end of the season.”
