Scotland duty could see Craig Wighton miss promotion play-offs

Dundee could be without striker Craig Wighton if they fail to win automatic promotion and have to take part in the Premiership play-offs.
The teenager is a member of the Scotland under-17 squad, which is scheduled to compete in the Uefa Championship finals in Malta next month.
The national side’s first game is against Portugal at Gozo Stadium in Xewkija on Friday May 9, with the second match with Germany at Hibernians Stadium in Paola on Monday May 12.
The Dark Blues, who are in pole position in the Championship, are obviously hoping to go up as title winners.
However, if they do not and finish second, then the first of the Premiership play-off semi-finals against the winner of the third v fourth eliminator is provisionally set to take place on May 13 with the second leg five days later, meaning Wighton would almost certainly miss out.
The 16-year-old was a star performer for Paul Hartley’s side on Saturday against Cowdenbeath, with a cool finish for the opener in the 4-0 win.
