Dundee have already sold more than 3,000 season tickets for the new campaign in the Premiership.
And boss Paul Hartley has promised when those fans take their seats at Dens, they will be watching a new-look Dark Blues determined to entertain.
All too often when a side makes the step up, pragmatism is the name of the game with survival in the top tier the priority.
However, Hartley insists football is part of the entertainment business and he is looking for his side to win while exciting the fans who have parted with their hard-earned cash.
The manager, who has added six new faces already this summer, said: “I am delighted with the signing business we have done so far. Season ticket sales are also doing really well and hopefully there are more to come.
“We want to try to entertain. That’s what football is all about it’s an entertainment business.
“We will have to work hard pre-season on our fitness and the style we want to play.
“We will also work on the shape of the team but we want the players to be flexible in different formations so we are not too rigid.
“The players have to enjoy it but we want the fans turning up on a Saturday knowing we will try to play good football and I think that will be a key thing for us.
“I think we have shown so far that we mean business getting players in early.
“It is important that we get a good group in to gel early on and that will start on the first day of pre-season.”
