New Dundee keeper Grant Adam impresses boss Hartley
ByThe Courier Reporter
Dundee boss Paul Hartley has heaped praise on new keeper Grant Adam.
Hartley swooped to bring Adam to Dens Park last weekend as number one choice Kyle Letheren recovers from a calf injury and summer signing Scott Bain continues his rehabilitation from appendicitis.
Former Rangers and St Mirren player Adam is the younger brother of Stoke and Scotland star Charlie and has also enjoyed loan spells with Forfar and Airdrieonians.
He has joined the newly promoted Dark Blues on a short-term deal until the end of August and has kept back-to-back shut-outs for his boyhood idols against Manchester City and Brechin.
Hartley said: “Grant is doing well. That’s two games and two clean sheets so that is pleasing for him.
“He’s here to the end of August so we’ll see what happens after that. Who knows what can happen if he does well. We’ll see where it takes us.”
Meanwhile, Dundee are still working to try to sign German trialist duo Luka Tankulic and Thomas Konrad ahead of Saturday’s friendly at Morecambe.
Keeper Letheren may return for a half down south as he steps up his recovery.
