Dundee agree fee with Queen of the South for Kevin Holt
ByNeil Robertson
Queen of the South have announced that they have reached agreement with Dundee over compensation for Kevin Holt.
The player agreed a pre-contract with the Dark Blues last month however the Doonhamers were entitled to a fee for over 10 years’ of development.
The two clubs were believed to be miles apart on determining that compensation with Queens understood to be holding out for a six-figure sum.
There was the possibility that the matter would have to be resolved by a transfer tribunal.
Now though, Queens have settled with Dundee although no details were given on the final amount the Dark Blues will have to shell out for the 22-year-old.
In a statement, Queen of the South said: “We are happy to confirm that following a meeting between the two clubs last week a compensation package for Kevin Holt has now been agreed with Dundee FC, so avoiding the need for both clubs to waste time and money on a tribunal.
“We obviously wish Kevin the best of luck in his future career.”
