Dundee seal loan deal for Aston Villa’s Riccardo Calder

Dundee have confirmed the signing of highly-rated youngster Riccardo Calder on loan from Aston Villa.

The 19-year-old left-sided midfielder has been involved in match-day squads for Tim Sherwood’s English Premier League side and featured for the first-team in pre-season.

The Villa Park manager is now looking for him to develop at Dens Park under Paul Hartley with an initial loan until January.

The Dark Blues boss said: “We are delighted to have Riccardo join. He is highly rated and has great potential.”
