Dundee’s Scottish Cup tie with Falkirk falls victim to weather
ByNeil Robertson
Dundee’s William Hill Scottish Cup tie with Falkirk has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The club had been quietly confident earlier this week that the game would go ahead as planned.
However, the playing surface, like the rest of Scotland, has taken a battering from the recent torrential rain.
The ground staff had been working tirelessly to ensure the pitch was ready for the Falkirk game, paying particular attention to the patch just in front of the main stand that caused the December 30 game with Celtic to be postponed.
Unfortunately, those efforts have been in vain and now one of the most attractive ties in the competition will be played on Tuesday night at 7.45pm.
