There was disappointment for Dundee when an appeal against John Brown’s disciplinary charges were rejected by the SFA at Hampden.
The SFA ruled that the Dark Blues boss was guilty of two breaches of disciplinary rules relating to interviews he gave regarding former Dens Park player Rab Douglas where he accused the goalkeeper of telling lies, as well as other comments suggesting the use of violence.
The Dundee manager has now been issued with a three-match touchline ban, suspended until the end of this season.
Raith Rovers’ Dougie Hill has also lost an appeal against the red card he received during the League Cup tie with Hearts last week.
The defender was dismissed for violent conduct after an altercation with the Jambos Jamie Hamill.
Raith insisted there had been no contact and launched an appeal.
That was rejected by the SFA and Hill will now sit out Saturday’s Ramsdens Cup tie with Falkirk.
Hearts’ Jamie Hamill won his appeal against the red card he received during his team’s defeat at Inverness.
