John Brown demands Dundee find right response to ‘off day’ against Cowdenbeath

Dundee boss John Brown is demanding his players put Saturday’s dismal defeat against Cowdenbeath behind them as they gear up for a crucial festive period in the Championship race.
The Dark Blues were second best all over the park compared to Jimmy Nicholl’s Blue Brazil at the weekend.
Brown admits he simply cannot accept so many players having a collective bad day at the office again with the loss also costing Dundee their place at the top of the table with Hamilton edging back to the summit.
Now, he is looking for his squad to bounce back strongly at Alloa this Saturday.
He said: “We all need to pull our weight. What we can’t have is a repeat of Saturday’s performance when we had so many players having an off day.
“But we won’t be feeling sorry for ourselves. That doesn’t get you anywhere.
“We’re only one point behind Hamilton when it all boils down to it.
“It’s going to be a hard festive period starting with Saturday’s game down at Alloa but it’s a challenge I’m sure the boys will be looking forward to.”
