Gary Irvine celebrates scoring against Aberdeen last year.
Defender Gary Irvine has left Dundee after five and a half years and signed for Championship side St Mirren.
In a statement posted on the Dundee FC website on Friday evening, the club said the decision had been reached by “mutual consent.”
He joined Dundee after being released by St Johnstone in 2010. Previously he played for Celtic and Ross County.
The 30-year-old played for the “Dee-fiant” square which broke the club record run for unbeaten games to keep the Dark Blues in the First Division and played in the 2014 Championship winning side.
